Market Dinner at Patina Green/Be McKinney

1. Monthly Market Dinners at Patina Green

Once a month Patina Green hosts a Market Dinner, with limited seating (34 spots) in their beautifully decorated dining room. With a focus on seasonal, farm fresh and local ingredients, the chef prepares a carefully crafted menu served with local beer and wine pairings. It's truly an experience you must try at least once while in McKinney.





2. We Ate Well Food Tour: Taste & See McKinney Tour

What better way to visit many of the best restaurants in town… all in one afternoon or evening! Eat and drink your way through Historic Downtown McKinney on a Friday or Saturday Taste and See McKinney tour or a Craft Cocktails + Comfort Food on a Thursday evening? During the 2-3 hour tours you'll indulge in delicious food and drinks all while mingling.






3. Make your own candle at Candle Crush Studio

Grab your crew and head to this DIY Pour-Your-Own Candle Bar | Studio in Historic Downtown Mckinney. Create, mix and mingle while channeling your inner chandler (“candle maker”) and exploring scent combinations. Combined with dinner/drinks on the square this makes for a great evening!








4. A Taste of Paris Cooking classes

Lorie Fangio is McKinney's resident French culture and cuisine expert… in addition to leading group trips through France, she hosts French inspired cooking classes locally throughout the year: from soups and stews to artisanal European breads to Food and Wine workshops, Lorie is your gal for upping your French foodie game.










5. Get on the water! Go Kayaking or Fishing

Looking for water-based activities? Look no further! Did you know there are more than 80,000 acres of lakes and shoreline surrounding McKinney, Texas? That includes Kayak McKinney's favorite coves on Lake Lavon, just 15 minutes Downtown McKinney! This is a fantastic way to get our in nature, get a good arm workout and enjoy the calm of the lake.








6. McKinney Wine & Music Festival


McKinney Wine & Music Festival/Be McKinney

October 19 will be the 3rd annual McKinney Wine & Music Festival, an event that is quickly becoming a staple for locals. If you haven't been, this is definitely your year to check it out! Live music all day long and dozens of local wineries, food trucks, and other vendors fill the walkways of Adriatica. With architecture that will transport you to a charming Croatian fishing village, this picturesque community is filled with breathtaking stone buildings and pathways just off the shore of Stonebridge Lake. This family friendly festival is always a great time and one you will not want to miss!










7. Family Photo Session with Emily Megan Photography

While we're out making all these memories around McKinney, a great thing to add to the list is a family photo session to help preserve this moment in time with the people closest to us. One of our favorite things is to do is look back on past family photos… so grab the fam, plan your outfits, and fill your albums and walls with gorgeous shots from Emily!



8. Hike, mountain bike, or camp at Erwin Park

Ready to embrace your outdoorsy side? Erwin Park is one of McKinney's hidden natural treasures. Spanning over 200 acres, there are 3 separate picnic pavilions, playgrounds for the kids, and 10 miles of mountain bike trails! There are also 2 Dero Bike Repair stations along the way with tools, a bike stand, and an air pump. You can even make it an overnight event and rent one of the campsites!
